I never met anyone who didn't have a very smart child. What happens to these children, you wonder, when they reach adulthood?
If the kids did want to get into showbiz then so be it, but I would never project anything on to my children.
When I was a kid, I'd read about celebrities who didn't want to talk to their fans after a show. I told myself, 'That's terrible, and I would never do that.'
I have never met an author who did not read voraciously as a child.
I did the figure of Diana in V, a cult TV show seen all over the world.
I always found the film world unpleasant. It's all about the schedule, and never really flew for me.
I kind of always think my work is unfilmable, and when I meet people who are interested in filming it, I'm always stunned.
I had never really pictured myself working in children's ministries. I always figured I would be more comfortable with maybe teens or adult ministries.
I've worked with homeless kids, kids in foster care, and I've never met a kid who couldn't be reached.
