In 'The Interestings' I wanted to write about what happens to talent over time. In some people talent blooms, in others it falls away.
Some people when they get older are so firm in their beliefs that you'll never move them.
Anybody that's been through a divorce, and I hope it's something people never have to experience, it's the worse thing in the world.
When someone gets sick, it is easy to get walked all over, walk all over people, and be so beat down you agree to things you would never normally agree to.
The trick is not to become somebody else. You become somebody else when you're in front of a camera or when you're on stage. There are some people who carry it all the time. That, to me, is not acting.
It never occurred to me that some people were seen as wrong or even different.
Some people will lie to you because they mean to. Others will do it to tell you what you want to hear.
There are some people who fit into categories very well. But then there are a lot who don't.
You don't need the world to understand you. It's fine. Some people will never really understand things they haven't experienced. Some will. Be grateful.
