I don't like to come at my character from some really technical place.
The characters are trapped within the lifestyle. It's about what goes on before the movie starts.
I like shows that are surprising and not predictable. That have deep, rich characters that are fully formed.
If guys try to make a bigger company for the sake of size, they don't create value in most cases.
I totally respond to complex characters, and I'm not interested in anything too simple.
Your characters have to remain innocent of what your picture is after.
I do stupid stuff like that: I'll call my wife from the road, send her pictures of glaciers.
Stand-up is like a row boat: it's fun and romantic when you're choosing to do it. But if you have no other choice than to be in a row boat it's not as enjoyable; that's survival.
When I play characters, I like playing people who just comment on stuff, stand around and talk.
