Usually, I walk around and think about things. When I come across a thought that makes me laugh, I write it down.
I try to make myself walk around a bit, but I probably think about it more than I actually do it. Years ago, I did think about joining a gym.
And we had the perhaps unfair advantage of not having to worry about what an audience was gonna think. We were in a vacuum. We were making little short films, really.
I don't know any neighborhoods where everyone's walking around in seven-inch heels and perfect makeup.
If anyone ever asked me what I had to complain about it would not have taken long to tell them. Maybe I was just easily pleased.
I never think about the audience. If someone gives me a marketing report, I throw it away.
I just worry because I know I say a lot, often. It doesn't bother me, it's more about the people that get affected around me.
Have you ever heard a good joke? If you've ever heard someone just right, with the right pacing, then you're already on the way to poetry. It's about using words in very precise ways and using gesture.
I'm always focussed on the actual work, and I think that's a much more succinct way to describe what you care about than any speech I could ever make.
