When I was 11 years old, my mother bought me one of those chemistry sets, and I stayed with it.
My mum had me brought up by nannies and governesses. I didn't have much to do with my parents until I was 21.
Pitching... sometimes I did so poorly, it brought me to tears.
I had a little portable typewriter. I call it my Harlem Literary Fellowship.
Obviously, I like to write stories that are page-turners. But I always try my very, very hardest to be as factually true as possible.
