I'm always looking for films, but the horror scripts that I get tend to be very repetitive and often not that interesting.
I'm an actor, and I like having attention, I guess. There's a reason I like being on stage. There's a reason I like being in front of a camera. It's that interaction.
My mantra is: Realize you're going to fail all the time, and accept it. That doesn't mean I'm not frightened of it.
One of the very first serious books I read when I was growing up was 'Atlas Shrugged.'
There was a point after the whole intensity of the Clash finally subsided when I just found that painting grounded me in a way that music didn't.
I got my first break in 'Bhootnath,' solely on my credit, and went on to sing for around 20 films for all the leading music composers.
The language of film is further and further away from the language of theater and is closer to music. It's abstract but still narrative.
I've been fortunate, but I'm also not very precious about making sure I'm the star of a film.
The way I see it, when I go out as an actor, it should be on a type of film I'm never going to do as a director.
