Script for an actor is like a bible. You carry it with you, you read it over and over, you go to your passages.
Normally when I'm sent a script I'll read it through to see how it hangs as a story and then I'll go back and read it through again and look at the character.
When you do an animated series and add characters who are not from the canon, you really have to win over the hardcore fans.
I admit I do develop characters from little parts of things I've seen others do.

I think if you create something and you get an audience for it, then the monetization part is really secondary.
Sports teaches you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose-it teaches you about life.
I don't look for anything in particular, like a particular genre. It's all very much to do with the quality of the script and the character as well.
