You have to be passionate about something other than yourself!
If you're going to do something, make it right and make it as good as you can. Don't waste anybody's time, especially your own.
Don't write something that is your passion project because all it will do is get the passion stomped out of you.
Sometimes your kids give you that shove out the door to do things that you need. Teenagers are good that way; they keep you in the loop.
There's people out there that are like, 'Oh my God, I want to have your kid. I want to marry you.' People that I've never even met. That's sweet. It's funny.
You have to walk in the other guy's moccasins. You have to think what they think. If you want to bring somebody onto your side, you have to figure out what motivates them. What do they need?
Try hard to find out what you're good at and what your passions are, and where the two converge, and build your life around that.
I often want to go to the movies and see something that transports you beyond the infinite.
When you are down and out something always turns up - and it is usually the noses of your friends.
