I call it people-to-people politics and that's what politics should be about, reaching out and helping one another and touching one another about what we're going to do.
The Bible is very clear about one thing: Using politics to create fairness is a sin.
People who care about each other enjoy doing things for one another. They don't consider it servitude.
But the ability to articulate what you are doing, to be clear about it, and to stick to it is, I think, the essence of political leadership.
Did they preach one thing and practice another, these men of God?
To see far is one thing, going there is another.
I know that on LAPD they have used psychics. They used it on the Hillside strangler case. I'm not sure on the Richard Ramirez case. I can't say one thing or another about it. I've read about it. I really don't have a lot to say about if it works or if it doesn't.
I think the show does better with newsmakers and politicians than it does with actors.
We cannot have another experience like we've had in my freshman class, of people saying one thing and doing another.
