I have idea files of books that I want to write one of these days, stories I want to write one of these days, but I'll probably never get to them.
When I sing, I don't want them to see that my face is black. I don't want them to see that my face is white. I want them to see my soul. And that is colorless.
Just telling a story. That's cinema. It's not silent, black and white. It's a simple story that's well made.
I do have screenplays I've written that never saw the light of day, but I don't usually go back to them. When I've told a story, I want to tell another story.
