I understand the protests, but not the shooting and the attempts to bring down the state. We cannot allow hatred to control our lives. We must remain unified to defeat this evil.
And this is one of the major questions of our lives: how we keep boundaries, what permission we have to cross boundaries, and how we do so.
We want a state wise in its contemplation - just in its actions - and moderate in the reach of government into our lives.
Our ideas are for the most part like bad sixpences, and we spend our lives trying to pass them on one another.
We don't want a busybody government - a boss - that butts into our lives every chance it gets to tell us how to work, how to play, where to live and on and on.
I don't see how anybody cannot be political in this day and age. There's so much going on and you have to be aware and you have to vote. Our lives are political.
We don't want to be treated any differently, and we want to continue with our lives and our careers.
We are in danger of destroying ourselves by our greed and stupidity. We cannot remain looking inwards at ourselves on a small and increasingly polluted and overcrowded planet.
A government that cannot survive truth and must resort to stamping out truth is not a government that any country wants.
