If people don't like me for whatever I do, for being me, then that's too bad. I don't want to change to be something that I'm not for other people to like me.
The decision to write in prose instead of poetry is made more by the readers than by writers. Almost no one is interested in reading narrative in verse.
So I really began as a failed poet - although when I first wanted to be a writer, I learned to write prose by reading poetry.
Whatever way that we have in our head that we expect people to use a software, they'll find other interesting ways to use it that we didn't expect.
It's weird: for someone who mostly really exists online, I'm actually not very interested in the Internet at all.
No matter what, the way to learn to program is to write code and rewrite it and see it used and rewrite again. Reading other people's code is invaluable as well.
Being able to draw means being able to put things in believable space. People who don't draw very well can't do that.
