The death of my daughter is a subject I talk about briefly because there is nothing more tragic.
When I was growing up, my mother would take me to plays and museums, and we'd talk about life. Those times helped shape who I became.
But it's cool working with female directors because I'm a girl, so you do relate to them more. You can talk to them about other stuff like clothes and all that.
You do small movies because the script is good and because you believe in the director. You don't care about the money. And when they disappear, it's a pity.
I wish I finished music school, because then I feel like I could talk more about the dissonant notes.

The only stuff I don't like are Broadway musicals. I hate them. I don't even like to talk about it. I can't bear musicals.

The thing about being an outsider... is that it teaches you to hear what people are thinking because you're constantly looking for the people who just don't give a damn.
