I'm friends with Carla Olsen and she's doing a lot of producing these days. She's getting quite a little collection of records that she's produced. She's real busy.
I have always enjoyed performing, but I think when I was in the fifth grade was when I discovered that I really loved acting.
With acting, I've always gotten by in life acting in situations. I'm a small person. I didn't have a chance to be a bully. But I could always act myself out of tough situations.
I love painting. I went to college in fine arts, and I still do it all the time.
My parents did divorce, but my dad has always been present for me and loving me and my mom as well when she was alive.
I don't even know at what age I started, because it's always been there. Performing... creating... it's in my DNA.
For me it's always contingent on getting a sound-the sound always suggests what kind of melody it should be. So it's always sound first and then the line afterwards.
Auditions make me nervous; any time I have to perform, I get stage fright.
I find that when I get on stage now, I don't want to perform a lot of my songs because they don't feel like me. So I want to make songs that are timeless.
