I've never really been a television watcher and watched comedies, and I have gotten a number of invitations to be on television as the dad.
The kids don't really have any part of my television life. Fortunately, there aren't many times when show business intrudes on our family existence.
That was probably the stamp that went into my mind, because I worked in television for many years, doing that kind of music, so that really was my strong forte.
Football really felt like a private thing when I was in my teens because it wasn't on television, for a start, apart from 'Match of the Day.'
I suppose I was formed by too many movies and too much television. At some point I absorbed the dramatic formula.
I've been in movies where the movie doesn't come together but the role comes together, or the movie comes together but the role doesn't come together or something like that. Something misses. It's very difficult to make it hit on all cylinders - it's just very rare.
I love women, and I have a lot of really close girlfriends, but I'm not one of those women who's like, 'Ew - that's boy stuff.'
I'm a storyteller. I'm not like any other comic. I tell detailed stories - not made-up stuff, but true stories.
I believe there's too little patience and context to many of the investigations I read or see on television.
