I didn't actually realise what apartheid meant. I'm probably a bit naive, but I thought it was more of a vague segregation, like on the beaches and buses.
Ich wusste gar nicht, was Apartheid bedeutet. Ich bin wahrscheinlich ein bisschen naiv, aber ich dachte, es wäre eher eine vage Trennung, wie an den Stränden und Bussen.
