If I'm gonna stay in this world of comedy, then it has to be a really special character to me in a really smart piece of material.
I started doing standup when I was in college, and I would incorporate a lot of characters into my act.
For the most part, I don't care what Dolph Ziggler is doing or that Seth Rollins worked out. I don't wanna watch a video of Cena power cleaning.
My process seems to be unusual in the sense that I don't create worlds before characters. With me, character is king.
When you have success, people think you know what you're doing, and you start to agree with them, you think you can conquer the world. But you go from grandiosity to panic.
I've made movies that we're very successful that we're a complete surprise, and I've made movies that I thought we're going to be very successful that, you know.
Are Christians too stupid that we can't write a script, we can't film a movie OR we don't know how to act?
For the last thirty years in my career I never know what I'm doing next.
Something that's fun for me is a challenge. When you have a challenge and you take on that challenge and succeed, that's the best feeling.
