To me I think artists in general make a statement - and for the rest of their lives - every album, every book - are variations on a theme.
I think mine's such a mish-mash now: I get criticised for sounding like a Yank when I come home, and everybody thinks I'm Australian when I'm in America.
I love curves; I'm all about curves. I don't have many, which is really sad, but I think the more the better.
I hope everybody thinks they've got the best album. I wouldn't have put mine out if I didn't think it was the best.
I think that a good Left is a party that always thinks about the future and doesn't care much about our past sins.
I think about trying to make it better. That's all I do when we play 'Even Flow' or anything off of 'Ten': 'Let's do this the best we can.'
How do we keep it up? Because that's what we do; we're musicians, and we love to play and make music. And with every album, we get better, and with every tour, we get better.
In Australia, I think, there's so much baggage with it. You just mention 'Snowtown,' and everyone's got an opinion about it.
I think that life has a secret, and children they hold that secret. Maybe it's not given to everybody to discover this thing.
