That's the nice thing about collaborating with someone: Your work becomes a conversation.
You always end up getting involved in things because of, you know, the strange things your life brings you into contact with.
If someone is a straight jazzhead, or a straight metalhead, or straight classical, they have a very narrow range of what they allow into their lives. But the people who listen to what we put out into the world have to be open-minded. Because we're so pluralist.
What politicians want to create is irreversible change because when you leave office someone changes it back again.

And I certainly like being on a plane, next to a stranger, having conversations that you'd never otherwise have. You're unplugged, your phone doesn't work, you're not online.
If you behave normally, people treat you normally. It's only when you act as if you're someone special that they feel obliged to stand on ceremony.
